What is a 311 service request?
A 311 service request is a report filed with Metro311 — by phone, the 311 app or online — about something the city handles, such as a pothole, a missed pickup or an abandoned vehicle.
Metro311 routes the request to the department responsible, which works it and records its status.
The department reviews the request and updates its status until it is closed.
A request records that someone reported a problem. It is not a finding that the problem exists or who caused it.
