P03 - PROPERTY WATER SUPPLY LINE/ WASTE PIPES/ SPIGOT [156.153-A & 156.154-A,C] All plumbing fixtures shall be properly installed and maintained in working order...All plumbing fixtures shall be maintained in a safe, sanitary and functional condition. {A} Every sink, lavatory, bathtub or shower, drinking fountain, water closet, or other plumbing fixture shall be properly connected to either a public water system or to an approved private water system. {C} The water supply system shall be installed and maintained to provide a supply of water to plumbing fixtures, devices, and appurtenances in sufficient volume and at pressures adequate to enable the fixtures to function properly, safely, and free from defects and leaks.What is a code enforcement case?
A code enforcement case is opened when a Metro inspector finds a property out of compliance with a local property maintenance ordinance — things like exterior storage, uncut grass, or exterior structural upkeep.
Louisville Metro Codes & Regulations opens and manages the case. No board or hearing is required to open one.
The property owner is notified and given a chance to correct the violation. An inspector re-checks the property; the case closes once the violation is corrected and confirmed.
An open case is not a citation or a fine by itself, and it does not mean a court has found the property owner at fault. It records that a violation was observed and is being tracked to correction.
