05A - ILLEGALLY PARKED/ABANDONED VEH [156.052-I, J] (156.052-I, J).... All motor vehicles must be parked on a hard and durable surface and no inoperative or unlicensed motor vehicle shall be parked, kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a state of major disassembly, disrepair, or in the process of being stripped or dismantled. Vehicles may only be parked on those portions of the premises, which the Land Development Code allows as permissible parking areas, also all vehicles must be parked on a hard durable surface. Painting of vehicles is prohibited on residentially zoned or used property, except as provided for in other regulations. (156.052-J) Removal by Metro Government. In the event that any person fails to comply with an order issued pursuant to this section, the Code Official may have the vehicle parked or stored in violation of this section, removed and disposed of and may impose on the person violating the order a reasonable charge to cover the direct and indirect costs, if any, for the removal and disposition of the motor vehicle or major parts thereof.

What is a code enforcement case?
A code enforcement case is opened when a Metro inspector finds a property out of compliance with a local property maintenance ordinance — things like exterior storage, uncut grass, or exterior structural upkeep.
Louisville Metro Codes & Regulations opens and manages the case. No board or hearing is required to open one.
The property owner is notified and given a chance to correct the violation. An inspector re-checks the property; the case closes once the violation is corrected and confirmed.
An open case is not a citation or a fine by itself, and it does not mean a court has found the property owner at fault. It records that a violation was observed and is being tracked to correction.
