I03 - DOOR (INTERIOR) [156.054-F] Every interior door shall fit reasonably well within its frame and shall be capable of being opened and closed by being properly and securely attached to jambs, headers or tracks as intended by the manufacturer of the attachment hardware.What is a code enforcement case?
A code enforcement case is opened when a Metro inspector finds a property out of compliance with a local property maintenance ordinance — things like exterior storage, uncut grass, or exterior structural upkeep.
Louisville Metro Codes & Regulations opens and manages the case. No board or hearing is required to open one.
The property owner is notified and given a chance to correct the violation. An inspector re-checks the property; the case closes once the violation is corrected and confirmed.
An open case is not a citation or a fine by itself, and it does not mean a court has found the property owner at fault. It records that a violation was observed and is being tracked to correction.
